OUR WALKERS & SITTERS

Adam L.

Adam moved to Hoboken to be closer to the city in order to pursue stand-up comedy full time. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from California University of Pennsylvania (yes, that is a real place), Adam, along with his trusty Pug sidekick, Chief Muttley Otis James Lucidi, or Muttley, for short, they moved to New Jersey. Adam has loved animals all his life. Having a Cocker Spaniel for most of his life, Adam wanted to get more dogs, but his parents thought one was enough, so what was the first thing Adam did after graduating college? Pay off student loans? Nope. He got a Pug. Before moving to Hoboken, Adam worked at New Jersey State Dog School, with some of the scariest (but sweetest) dogs he's come into contact with. Adam enjoys meeting new people, and dogs, and would love to hang out and walk you dog, but a word of caution, your pooch may make it into his comedy act.

Adam C.

Hi! I'm Adam, I live in Jersey City and I'm a Hudson County native. I've lived almost everywhere in Hudson County for most of my life and consider it to be my one true home. I'm studying to become a Computer Technician and working toward obtaining my A+ Certification. Aside from that I have a deep passion for animals! Throughout life I've grown up with many critters, especially cats, but my love for felines doesn't overshadow my love for dogs! I've worked as a Junior Veterinary Technician at the Union City Animal Hopital in 2005, and more recently at Boca's Play n' Stay Dog Center in Jersey City as a Kennel Technician for over 2 years.  I love meeting and getting to know new pets and I look forward to meeting yours!

Allison

Allison grew up in quiet Parsippany, New Jersey and moved to Hudson County after her first year of college to take some time off after an academically fast-tracked childhood. Allison loves making music, interpreting in ASL for her Deaf friends, carpentry & welding, and hanging out with her neighbors and their dogs. She is a nursing major at Hudson County/Christ Hospital and is also pursuing EMT-Basic at Jersey City Medical.  She loves kicking it back each day with her furry friends and hopes to meet yours too!

Ally

Allison grew up in North Jersey with her family who loves dogs. She had dogs of various breeds throughout her childhood. She moved to Hoboken 3 years ago while attending NYU for a degree in Speech Pathology and is taking a break between undergraduate and graduate school.  She has a 2-year-old English Staff named Hulk. While not hanging out with Hulk or taking care of your pet, Allison teaches at a children’s enrichment center here in town.

Amghy

Hi there everyone. My name is Amghy, that little foxy fella is my Pomeranian named Rocky. I dedicated Summer '12 as a dog walker for Wagging Tails- and now I am back, excited more than ever to treat your pups and cats with absolute care. I am currently on my pursuit towards a B.A in Latino Studies and Anthropology. Besides having a fixation with Latin American history and culture, I thoroughly enjoy thrift shopping, Indian cuisine, and of course, the novels of satirical genius, Kurt Vonnegut Jr. I look forward to meeting your pups, cats, rabbits, and hey, I like plants too!

Andrea

Hailing all the way from West Lafayette, Indiana, Andrea has lived in many places over the years and has finally settled in Jersey City. A recent graduate from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, Andrea has come to pursue a career in Theatre, TV & Film.  Andrea has loved animals all her life and has cared for many along the way including dogs, cats, flying squirrels, horses and more fish than you could possibly imagine! Andrea is super excited to take care of and, of course, play with and love your pets!

Brooke

I have a BA in Marine Biology and Psychology and a MFA in Film and Media Arts.  I grew up in Rhode Island, but I have had the privilege of traveling to many beautiful places and living in some of the most
exciting cities in the world.  I am a lifelong pet caretaker, having had dogs, cats, fish, mice, etc. since I can remember.  Currently, I have a dog, cats, and a fish. In addition to pets, I also have experience caring for more exotic animals, such as seals and sea lions, sea turtles, sharks, and fish.  For the last nine years, I have been working in the media industry. However, my first love is animals and working with Wagging Tails is a wonderful way to indulge that.

Christina

Christina was born in Brooklyn, NYC and is a long time resident of North Bergen, New Jersey. She has owned all kinds of animals in her life including parakeets, anoles, hermit crabs, hamsters, fish, dogs and cats. When she is not caring for your furry friends, she works as nanny to twin girls or can be found volunteering in support of  her 18 year old daughter, who is associated with the Shark Research Institute.  Christina is a firm believer in rescuing animals and shares her home with her daughter,  her husband of almost 25 years-whom she met in high school-and her rescue buddies; a 10 year old parakeet named fluffy, Nessie (pictured here) and Brooklyn and Bellatrix, two cats who were NOT ready for their close up when this was taken!

Isaac

Hello, I am Isaac! I was born and raised in Hudson County.  Currently, I live in West New York.  I have two brothers, Josh and Will, who also work for Wagging Tails and we enjoy it just as much as the dogs do! We come from a family with a long history of pet owning. We've had everything from a duck to a dog, ferrets to a starfish, and even a chicken! Personally I'm a dog lover myself but i also get along with cats. Outside of Wagging Tails, I am a current nursing student and future nurse.  It is a passion of mine to study within the medical field.  I am also a very big fitness freak!  My hobbies include playing basketball on my spare time, painting and working with music (guitar, drums, piano, bass, violin, trumpet).

Janis

Janis has lived in Hoboken for 17 years with her great husband and two wonderful daughters. Before becoming a stay at home mom, Janis worked for many years in sales and merchandising in the exciting world of prêt-a-porter fashion. Bailey, Janis’ combination beagle-bassett hound-jack russell terrier was adopted from the Liberty Humane Society a little more than a year ago and quickly became a true member of the family. Janis likes keeping busy and now that her girls are less dependent and older, she has extra time to spend taking care of and loving your pets. The walking will definitely be a good addition to her healthy lifestyle, so she’ll be doing a lot of it! She is looking forward to meeting and caring for all of your pet’s needs.

Jim

Jim is a long time Secaucus resident.  He has owned and cared for many animals over the years, including 3 dogs, 1 cat, several hermit crabs, a turtle, a duck and an iguana.  Jim graduated with a degree in filmmaking, which led to a brief career in the off-broadway theatre companies of NYC.  After that, he focused his energy on music, graduating with a degree in Audio Engineering.  He currently owns a company called Studio Two Recordings and produces Reggae singles for many artists, some known and some yet to be known.  Jim can't wait to meet your animal and care for it as if it was his own.

Josh

Josh, our newest walker is the younger brother of Wil, who is a long time walker and incredible care giver.  Josh has some big shoes to fill!  He has had dog's all his life and knows this job is perfect for  him.  He loves the fresh air and spending time with your furry little friends.  Most recently, he lost his dog Fifi and has been looking to fill that void in his life.  Spending some time with your cat or dog will definetly help him fill that void.  Josh looks forward to meeting you & your little pals soon.  He will also be attending engineering school in the fall.

Mario

Mario has been living in Hoboken over 5 years with his wife Laurie and dog Mingus. He was raised in Miami, FL in a family of five children who always had an abundance of dogs and cats at home. "My mom was such an animal lover it was hard for her to say no whenever we brought home a new puppy or kitten". Though he misses the South Florida sun Mario is grateful for moving up to the Northeast. He met his best friend and love Laurie, and also settled in an area that is perfect for an aspiring musician. Right near NYC. He is currently the bass player of a Brooklyn based rock band called My Pet Dragon as well as freelancing on recording sessions for singer/songwriters.  "Taking care of pets is such a joy, especially since I spend a lot of time indoors working on music. Being outside with the unconditional joy that animals bring really helps create a balance to my day".

Mark

Mark lives in Hoboken with his wonderful wife and two fantastic kitties: Hermione and Luna.  He has owned all kinds of pets in his life, from cats and dogs to mice and fish to hermit crabs, rabbits, snakes, and even a spider!   He loves nothing more than to meet friendly new pets and get to know what makes them unique.  When not walking dogs, Mark is an actor and recently got his Master of Fine Arts at the University of Missouri, Kansas City.   He is thrilled to be in such a dog-friendly city and loves seeing all the different breeds and personalities that Hoboken has to offer.  He can't wait to meet, and take good care of, any pets you have.

Milo

Hi! My name is Milo and I am a dog walker here at Wagging Tails. My love for dogs started as a kid when I got my first puppy, Daisy, a black cocker spaniel. Since then I have owned dogs of all different sizes and shapes. My latest puppy is a min pin named Sadie and she is adorable! I am a local musician here in Hoboken and like the neighborhood.  I have an Associates Degree in Music Theory from Raritan Valley Community College.  I love to read, play piano, and hang out with my girlfriend and our puppy. I'm looking forward to meeting your dog and getting to know him/her as well.

Misael

Hello, I'm Misa. I was born and raised in the glorious square mile you call home. I have been in love with animals since I got my first pet when I was six.  Billy The Hamster was his name and I used to make Lego mazes for the little fella. I'm currently a freshman at Hudson Community College majoring in Social Sciences and aspire to attend grad school at NYU.   I love to read, write and play sports in my spare time. I'm very excited to be a part of the Wagging Tails team and simply can't wait to meet and spend time with the lovable furry members of your extended family!

Steve

Steve is married to Janis, a Wagging Tails Dog Walker extraordinaire.  He loves dogs, having grown up with two different miniature beagles (one at a time) during childhood.  He is a full time attorney in private practice in New York and New Jersey, although the bulk of his practice is in New York.  He and Janis own Bailey, a combination Beagle/Bassett/Jack Russell terrier rescued from the Liberty Humane Society.  He loves and cares about all pets and believes that each of them deserve to be loved cared for and pampered as much as possible.  After all, they are just like people – they’re social beings who crave love and interaction with other animals and people.

Tony

Tony grew up in a small Ohio suburb off of Lake Erie with his mother, sister, and two dogs and always had big dreams. He recently graduated from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Arizona, and took a huge gamble moving to New Jersey to find an audio engineering internship. He now works at Hoboken's Water Music recording studio as an Assistant Engineer on weekends, and loves to meet new people, explore the Big Apple, and dig for vinyl treasures at record stores and thrift shops. Since he can't yet provide the space for a dog of his own (and the family dogs are back in Ohio), Tony is especially excited to spend time with some pup pals during the week!

Will

Will is a West New York native.  Since childhood, Will has felt an extreme connection to animals. In his life, he has owned chickens, ducks, fish, ferrets, lizards, cats, and many dogs, although currently his apartment is only big enough to house a chihuahua and an iguana. Besides caring for animals, Will loves to write and direct films. He was attending film school at The School of Visual Arts in New York, but is currently taking time off to pursue his own ventures! As an avid animal lover, Will promises to love and care for your pet just as he would his own chihuahua, Fifi!
